Kleenex® Brand Facial Cleansing Collection Review

I received this wonderful new collection of Kleenex® Brand Facial Cleansing line free to review.  This review will be on the Facial Cleansing wipes, Eye Makeup removers, Daily Cleansing Cushions, and Exfoliating Cushions, I included the Shine Away Sheets, even though, I don’t think they part of the Facial Cleansing line.  They come in dispenser containers that are all refillable.

Facial Cleansing Wipes

Facial Cleansing Wipes

It has a nice fragrance with a very moist wipe.  It is an “exclusive combination of multi-layered, textured fabric and gentle cleanser, infused with a pro-vitamin complex.”  It is only a fair makeup remover, as it did leave evidence of transfer/smudge proof makeup like liquid eyeliners or liquid lipsticks with using only one wipe as directed.  Using a second wipe would probably help in completely removing smudge/transfer proof makeup.  This wipe didn’t leave my skin feeling stripped of oil, nor had dulling residues.  Even, if this did not completely remove all makeup, it is still a good option for makeup removal rather than sleeping with makeup on, which ages you 10 years when sleeping with makeup on for a month. If you wear regular makeup, that is not transfer proof, then this will work perfectly.  It is safe for all skin types, dermatologist tested, and is alcohol free. I give these 3.5 🍒🍒🍒.

Before and After using the Facial Cleansing wipe. There is still a little bit of transfer proof liquid lipstick left but pretty good at removal

Eye Makeup Removers

Eye Makeup Remover

Designed with an exclusive micro-fine fabric and oil-free eye makeup remover that is infused with a pro-vitamin complex, which leaves your skin free of oily residue.  I love the soft pillow-y cushioned shape for precise control around the eye area.  These pre-moistened removers is only a fair eye makeup remover as it does leave a bit of smudge/transfer proof eye makeup behind only using one remover pad as directed.  Using 2 remover pads would more than likely completely remove all eye makeup.  This was good for also removing water resistant mascara.  I had to use a bit of pressure to remove the eye makeup and a bit of rubbing/wiping more than I would want.  The eye area is sensitive and needs to be treated carefully as to not create any more wrinkles.  Perhaps, the pillows need to be saturated a bit more to prevent too much rubbing/wiping for the sensitive eye area.  This does have a fragrance that is not too cloying or strong, but may be strong for those sensitive to fragrances.  These are ophthalmologist  and dermatologist tested.  I give these 3.5 🍒🍒🍒.

Daily Cleansing Cushions

Left side Massaging pillows, Right side Purifying Scrubbing Dots

Double sided cushioned cleansing duo with massaging pillows on one side and purifying dots on the other.  These have water-activated cleansers inside the cushions.  You get a gentle scrub giving you soft, radiant skin.  The purifying dots get down to the pores which does more than what your fingers and cleanser can do.  The massaging pillows on the other side will gently lift dirt, and makeup giving you a beautiful cleansed, radiant face.  It is also gentle enough for use on our delicate eye area.  These daily cleansing cushions did leave my skin feeling smoother, and softer.  I enjoyed these cushions, though, there is still so much sudsy, cleanser left that I feel bad disposing of these after only 1 use.  I give these 4 🍒🍒🍒🍒.

Exfoliating Cushions

Left side is the Buffing and Right side is the Exfoliating

These exclusive dual-sided multi-layered fabrics have a blue scrubby texture side for massaging and exfoliating, and a white buffing texture side to smooth and polish skin.  The cleanser is activated when water is added to the blue scrubby textured side and cushions rubbed together with fingers to lather.  The lather is quite generously sudsy.  Using this left my skin smoother, and more polished as I was experiencing some dryness around my cheeks due to  weather changes.  These are great for all skin types and is dermatologist tested.  As with the entire facial cleansing line, these do have the same fragrance, but they are not very strong or over powering.  I give these 4 🍒🍒🍒🍒.

Shine Away Sheets

These are pretty good at blotting oiliness around my T-zone.  Just blot on the un-printed side and these will combat the shininess and oiliness.  I was pleasantly surprised that Kleenex® Brand has shine away sheets.  I give these 4 🍒🍒🍒🍒.

These products are available online at www.kleenexfacialcleansing.com and Amazon.  I would like to thank @forestann and @kleenexfacialcleansing for providing me these samples and the opportunity to try these out.

Foodaholic 4D Skinny Fit Essence Masks Review

These are very different kind of sheet masks that I have tried.  They are made of cloth with a soft quilted side.  They are stretchable sheet face masks with slits for ear hangers and extends under the chin for a lifting effect that also has ear hangers.  Usually, our chin are neglected and I liked that these masks extend all the way to the chin for hydration.  The slits or ear hangers feel a little awkward, and uncomfortable, because they do pull your ears down, but you get used to them, as the masks are stretchable.  These masks do have a subtle fragrance but for those who are sensitive to fragrances, they might find them a bit strong.  These have just enough essence for the masks with nothing extra like other sheet masks.  If you want a cool refreshing masks, these can be put in the refrigerator prior to using, or if you wanted them warm, the package can be submerged in warm water.

As with all sheet masks, prep the skin by washing the face clean, use a toner prior to sheet mask application.  Leave the mask on for the duration instructed.

Jewel Healing 24K Gold

This mask contains 10% gold extract, blueberry, orange, pumpkin fruit extract as some of the notable ingredients.

This mask is formulated with gold extract to transform dry, rough, and dull skin to revitalized, firm, elastic skin.  Great anti-wrinkle benefits approved by KFDA (Korean Food and Drug Administration).

This had a cooling sensation while waiting for the essence to absorb into the skin.  This left my face brightened, but got a couple of acne breakouts afterward.

Tropical Healing Cactus

This mask is formulated with cactus extract to soothe stressed skin and gives the moisture and cooling effect for radiant skin.  Some notable ingredients are 30% Opuntia Ficus-indica extract, panthenol honey, and cudrania tricuspidata bark extract.

Felt a slight itching while wearing this mask, but my face did feel tightened, brighter after using.  The leftover essence after wearing the mask, I applied on my hands and it  left it moisturized/ hydrated even after hand washing.

Salmon Roe Essence Mask

This is a super food mask formulated with 33% salmon egg extract, good for anti-oxidant and hydration of the face.  Some notable ingredients are lavender extract, blueberry fruit extract, jasmine extract, orange, and pumpkin fruit extract.

This mask did make my chin itch slightly while wearing it, felt like I was getting a possible breakout 10 minutes after removing the sheet mask.  Left a cooling sensation while wearing it.  Afterward, my face appeared plumper, tightened, pores appeared smaller, and felt hydrated and lifted.

Protein Healing Horse Fat

This mask contains 5% horse fat, as well as fruit extracts from punica granatum, blueberry, orange, and pumpkin.  Obviously, this is not vegan as this actually has oil extracted from horse fat.

This mask is formulated for moisture, hydration, firmness, and to prevent skin dryness.

This definitely left my face hydrated and tightened.

I give these masks 4 🍒🍒🍒🍒 for the nifty ear hangers, soft quilted cloths, and effectiveness for what they are formulated for.  There was just some itching side effects, and breakouts that I experienced which are not ideal for my oily/combination skin type.

I received these masks free for review from Skin18, as part of their Skin18 challenge review blogger program.

Animal Cutie Mask Packs Review from Skin18

These animal cutie masks that I received from Skin18.com are indeed very cute.  I received the Whitening Aqua – Panda, Relaxing Charcoal & Aloe – Monkey, Anti-Wrinkle Collagen – Tiger, and Anti-Aging – Horse.  Besides the cuteness factor, I will be commenting on the fit as well as the effectiveness of the masks.  Overall, the fit of these masks are a bit small.  The eye holes are small, and it doesn’t reach to the hairline or edge of chin.  Because of the cute animal prints on the masks, this made the masks a little tough to smooth flatly on the face.  There is plenty of essence that these masks stay on the face with no problems and won’t slip off.  As with sheet masks.  Directions are to wash face cleanly, use toner before mask application, and leave mask on for the recommended time.

Whitening Aqua – Panda

Notable ingredients is hyaluronic acid to retain moisture for dry skin.  I did not detect a strong fragrance.  The mask provided a cool sensation.  Afterward, my face did feel hydrated, tightened, brightened but left my face feeling slightly tacky.

Relaxing Charcoal & Aloe – Monkey

Notable ingredients are Charcoal & Aloe for soothing and whitening.  No strong fragrance detected on this mask.  Cooling sensation while wearing the mask, and left my face feeling plump and hydrated.

Anti-Wrinkle Collagen – Tiger

PhotoGrid_1506656274186Notable ingredients are collagen extract to promote elasticity, as well as replenish moisture and refresh dry, sagging skin.  Also felt a cooling sensation while wearing the mask.  Face felt tightened and pores appeared smaller afterward.

Anti-Aging Horse Oil – Horse

Notable ingredients include horse oil to improve wrinkles and skin elasticity.  I did notice a subtle fragrance that dissipates quickly.  I did experience a cooling sensation while wearing the mask as well as a bit of itchiness around the chin area within 5 minutes of wearing, but it wasn’t too irritating that I had to remove it before the allotted time.  The mask left my skin tightened with a more luminous appearance.

These masks do come with a warning to avoid use if one has blemishes, pimples, irritated or sunburned skin, as these may get even more aggravated, due to itchiness, redness, or even cause the face to get swollen.  One time use of these masks would not be an accurate representation of the efficacy of the claims, and therefore, I cannot comment whether the anti-aging, anti-wrinkle claims have merit.  I can only comment that the ingredients in the masks may help with those claims.

Enjoying Ironing with Niagara Spray Starch Plus

Right half has been treated with Niagara Spray Starch Plus and Ironed

I did not have any expectations using the Niagara Spray Starch Plus.  I knew this spray would be great for ironing wrinkles out of clothes, but what happened, made me love and enjoy ironing more than ever.

Shake the can well before using, lightly spray about 6-10 inches from the clothing or fabric you are ironing and then start ironing on whatever fabric setting you are ironing.  I was so amazed at how fast, and easy ironing went.  I have tried other spray starches before and it would take numerous passes with the iron to smooth out the wrinkles from whatever it was I was ironing, but with the Niagara Spray Starch Plus, it only took a couple of passes with the iron.  This is the part I enjoyed the most!  I finished ironing something quickly and with great satisfaction that it looks impeccably pressed and polished.

As I learned more about this Niagara Spray Starch Plus, using this also helps protect fabric from stains and extends the life of the fabric so your outfits lasts longer.

Some tips, I have learned is that using spray starch is better on natural fibers (cotton, linen) as they will hold the starch better than synthetic or natural-synthetic blends and do not use steam as this will make the ironing process longer.  Niagara makes different varieties depending on how heavy the fabric is.  You can check out the different varieties as well as many tips on ironing with starch here.

I received this complimentary Niagara Spray Starch Plus as part of the Influenster and Niagara VoxBox campaign to facilitate testing and this honest review.  All opinions are my own. 5/5 stars.

Mediheal Dress Code Sheet Masks Review

This is a review for the Mediheal Dress Code Sheet Masks Code Blue, Code Black, and Code Violet.

These are beautifully designed sheet masks ready for a masquerade but with extracts and essences that provide various benefits for your skin type and needs.  The overall fit of the masks is too small on the eyes. If the masks gets too close to the eyes, the essences can cause some stinging.  The nose area also does not fit flush on top and does not completely cover the entire nose.

Mediheal Dress Code Blue (Herb Aqua Care) Mask

Has a variety of herb extracts including baobab (Adansonia digitata) leaves, large flower cactus, medicine sage leaves, lavender, chrysanthemum.  It is supposed to control oil, have anti-aging and brightening benefits.

This smells great, it has a subtle light lavender fragrance! It has a cool tingling sensation, has enough essence to saturate the sheet mask.  Left my face feeling tightened, and taut afterward.  I’m not sure if this left my skin hydrated.  I only left the mask on for the recommended 20 minutes.  This contains Sea Water, which may or may not help with nourishing or hydration.

Ingredients:  Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium EDTA, Panthenol, Trehalose, Betaine, Sea Water, Bambusa Vularis Extract, Lilium Candidum Bulb Extract, Adansonia Digitata Leaf Extract, Opuntia Ficus-Indica Extract, Salvia Offinialis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, Chamomilia Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Extract, Squalane, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Morus Alba Fruit Extract, Gingko Biloba Nut Extract, Methylparaben, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Beta-Glucan, Allantoin, Triethanolamine, Polysorbate 80, Adenosine, Fragrance.

Mediheal Dress Code Violet (Brightening & Nourishing) Mask

This was also cooling as I was wearing the mask.  My cheeks started to get itchy after 10 minutes though, which I did not experience with the other two.  There may be an ingredient that I’m sensitive or allergic to. I’m generally not sensitive or have allergic reactions to skin care products.  But, there is a first time for everything.

With this one, I did not feel or notice too much hydration or brightening effects.  Notable ingredients are acai berry (Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract), pomegranate (Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, and blueberry extract, all of which are antioxidants and are recognized as “Super Fruits” and has numerous benefits.

Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium EDTA, Panthenol, Trehalose, Betaine, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Extract, Opunita Ficus-Indica Extract, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Water, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Myrciaria Dubia Fruit Extract, Morinda Citrifolia Extract, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Ficus Carica (Fig ) Fruit Extract, Morus Alba Fruit Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Nut Extract, Methylparaben, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Beta-Glucan, Allantoin, Triethanolamine, Polysorbate 80, Adenosine, Fragrance.

Mediheal Dress Code Black (Whitening & Nourishing) Mask

In my opinion the fanciest of the three.  It actually has red jewels on it! Formulated with Pearl Powder Extract to control Melanin formation and correcting skin tone.  This also has cacao extract, which is a bonus in my book (I’m a bit of a chocoholic).

Again, this had a cooling effect while letting the essence absorb through the skin. Afterward, there was some slight redness, skin felt tightened, but it also left my skin slightly tacky.  There was extra essence that I was able to rub onto my neck, decolletage, and hands.  I suppose my skin felt nourished but as far as whitening, I did not notice any whitening or brightening effects.  Perhaps, if I had left the mask on longer than the recommended 10-20 minutes, the whitening effects would be more noticeable.

Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium EDTA, Panthenol, Trehalose, Betaine, Hippophae Rhamnoides Water, Glycine Max (Soybean) Seed Extract, Pisum Sativum (Pea) Extract, Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Pearl Extract, Honey Extract, Caviar Extract, Propolis Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Polygonum Multiflorum Root Extract, Phellinus Linteus Extract, Morus Alba Bark Extract, Sophora Flavescens Root Extract, Cimicifuga Racemosa Root Extract, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Extract, Angelica Gigas Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Methylparabe, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Beta-Glucan, Allantoin, Triethanolamine, Polysorbate 80, Fragrance.

Overall, these masks besides the beautiful masquerade design on the masks are not very much special than other masks I have tried.  They do have wonderful extract ingredients which have the potential to be effective.  Perhaps wearing the masks longer or multiple treatments may provide the claimed effects.  I do not overdo the masks as I have oily/combination skin and doing so can increase oil production on my T-zone.

I give these masks 4/5 stars.  1 extra star for the beautiful masquerade designs.

Thank you to skin18.com for the opportunity to sample these masks for free as part of their skin 18 challenge bloggers program.  You can find this set of masks here.
