Here is a Beauty Tip Tuesday!

With the change in weather, temperature drops, wind picks up, and the moisture in the air decreases, our lips need extra care to prevent dry, chapped lips. This is also a great way to prep your lips for the great new Fall/Winter matte liquid lippies. I’m wearing Younique’s splash liquid lipstick in “Sizzling.” You can order them here https://www.youniqueproducts.com/CherryO/

Here is a DIY lip scrub that you can make with everything that’s in your pantry.

1 tsp. Brown sugar

1 tsp. Honey *

Pinch of ground cinnamon powder (for lip plumping)-optional but worth it!

*melted coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil can be substituted, or do a blend. Whatever you have available.

A drop of Vanilla extract can also be added, as optional flavor.

Mix everything in a bowl until you get a paste like consistency. Apply to lips with fingertips and gently rub for a few seconds. Rinse with warm water and follow with lip balm or your favorite lip product.

Can be stored in a capped container for a couple of months at room temperature.

If you’re feeling creative and adventurous, you can try these other DIY lip scrubs.  If you’re a fan of that great bubble gum lip scrub from a company that starts with L__H, you can try the recipe on the link below.
